Following the publication of the first Blood Dancers Trilogy, it’s time to leave that world, for the time being at least, although I’m sure the Dancers will be back in the not too distant future. For now, there are other landscapes to create and explore.
One of those worlds is already under construction. Daniel is thirteen and coming to terms with the death of his mother in a car accident that left him with metal plates in his leg and a permanent limp. He’s muddled through life pretty well so far, until one day he realises that a man in a boiler suit is trying to kill him. Running for his life, he bumps into an unexpected rescuer. A weird girl with pink hair and orange jeans leads him into the basement of the local museum, where he finds a strange statue, and an even stranger world underneath it. What happens next? I’m not sure of all the details, but it’s going to be fun finding out!
Aside from fantasy, my bookshelves are filled with my other literary love, crime novels. It was always in my mind to try to write a passing decent crime novel, and my other work in progress is just that. It is still in the planning stages, so I can’t say too much about it just yet, except that it involves psychiatry, two police forces and at least three countries! Hmm. Simple, then!
